Fire causes heavy smoke damage

Three West Kelowna residents were forced to leave their home Friday morning after a fire broke out.

The blaze began just after midnight in the 3100 block of Country Pines Way.

Firefighters quickly contained the fire, but the house did suffer extensive smoke damage.

All three occupants, as well as two animals were at home and able to safely exit the structure.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, but it is not considered suspicious at this time.
