Kelowna RCMP have made an arrest in connection with a break in during last summer's Smith Creek Wildfire.
West Kelowna resident Niso Kamhakoataew, 21, has been charged with Break and Enter and Commit.
Back on July 20, RCMP in West Kelowna received a report of a break and enter and theft at a home in the 2500 block of Cobblestone Road.
The home had been evacuated at the time of the break in as a result of the Smith Creek Fire.
When the occupants returned after the Evacuation Order was rescinded they discovered their house had been broken into and some of their belongings were missing.
Kamhakoataew is scheduled to appear in court in Kelowna Jan 19.
