Car vs. credit union

No injuries were reported after a vehicle crashed into the side of the Valley First Credit Union at 3550 Carrington Rd. in West Kelowna Thursday morning.

After crashing through the building the small sedan bounced backwards sideswiping a white car parked in front of the branch.

Two large panes were shattered beside the front entrance, but the vehicle did not make it inside the credit union.

RCMP say the driver was attempting to park when the female driver lost control. There was no one in the parked car.

There are barriers, bollards, set up around the branch, but the vehicle managed to miss them.

The credit union will be closed until the damage is repaired.
