West Kelowna residents will get a chance to see designs for the newest phase of improvements to Gellatly Road.
The municipality will be holding an open house on Aug. 13 to show off an initial draft of the pedestrian and cycling plan between Carrington and Boucherie Roads.
Construction on Phase 4 could begin as early as next year, subject to a final cost analysis and council providing the necessary budget approval.
It’s all part of the Transportation Master Plan that council adopted this past February. The plan establishes priorities and identifies costs for sidewalk, pathway, and cycling lane construction over the next 20 years.
Both district staff and design consultants will be on hand to answer questions during the open house from 4-7 p.m. in council chambers.
