Shannon Lake Park re-opens

Shannon Lake Regional Park in West Kelowna is back open following the Smith Creek fire.

Weather conditions have greatly assisted the ongoing firefighting effort which now has the fire 100 per cent contained, and will see all evacuees return home tonight. 

As a result, the park just off Shannon Lake Road is once again accessible for visitors.

The Regional District thanks everyone for their patience and understanding while the temporary park closure was in place.
