Vehicle clings to hillside

A 31-year-old Kelowna woman crashed a Range Rover down an embankment near Bear Creek Park Thursday night.

Witnesses to the incident found the woman inside the vehicle. The Range Rover had slid about 20 metres down the bank. The crash was reported around 11 p.m.

The vehicle was perched on rocks and trees, had it not hit the trees it would have crashed down another 100 metres.

RCMP arrived on scene and tried to give the driver a road side exam, but the woman refused to provide a sample, says Cst. Kris Clark.

She was handed a 90 day road side prohibition. There are no reports of any injuries, but the vehicle was heavily damaged and the airbags were deployed.

It appears she was travelling north on Westside Road when the crash occurred.
