Guyana is one of the few Caribbean countries that is not an island and, is the only South American nation whose official language is English. Known as the "Land of many waters" Guyana is bordered by Suriname, Brazil, Venezuela and to the north by the Atlantic Ocean; with it's 215,000 square kilometers (83,000 sq. mi.) housing a population of over 770,000.
