Rockets get prospects call

Two members of the Kelowna Rockets have been invited to participate in the annual CHL Top Prospects game.

The game features players from across the Canadian Hockey League expected to be taken high in next June's NHL entry draft.

Defenceman Cal Foote, a consensus top 15 selection, and forward Kole Lind, have both been invited to take part in the game Jan. 30 in Quebec City.

Lind leads the Rockets in scoring with 18 goals and 41 points in 32 games.

Foote is 10th in scoring in the WHL among defencemen with three goals and 29 points in 33 games.

Lind will suit up for Team Orr, while Foote will skate with Team Cherry.

“(The game) is one of the highlights of the hockey season and a truly special experience for players from across the CHL,” said CHL president David Branch.

“Since 1996 this event has annually featured the next wave of NHL talent showcasing their skills before hundreds of NHL scouts and general managers."
