More than a dozen tourists from China were rushed to hospital after their tour bus smashed into the back of a parked semi on the Connector.
The crash happened mid-Tuesday afternoon about two kilometres west of Elkhart Lodge.
Police say the bus, carrying 28 passengers including the driver, plowed into the back of the broken down semi.
The impact left a gaping hole beside the driver's compartment and debris all over the highway.
Police say 10 passengers were taken to KGH while another five were rushed to Merritt Hospital. Three of the injuries are said to be serious.
The truck driver wasn't injured. He says the hazard lights on the truck were working, but admits he didn't have a safety triangle on the road to warn other motorists.
The crash is under investigation.
