Vernon's Mayor Calling It Quits

The mayor of Vernon is packing it in.

Sean Harvey has announced that he won't be seeking a third term.

Harvey was first elected in 1999 and re-elected in 2002.

The 30-year-old former radio DJ was recently in the media spotlight amid allegations of conflict of interest. He was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing and accused the media of crossing the line by bringing his children into the picture.

Harvey says two terms as mayor are enough and wants to further his education.
