A Funtastic way to get funding

The Funtastic Sports Society wants to remind local non-profit agencies and groups to submit their applications for the Funtastic Community Grant program. The deadline to apply is February 15. To celebrate 29 years of Funtastic the society has made $29,000 available for 2013.

The purpose of the Funtastic Community Grants program is to provide financial assistance to not-for-profit, community-based organizations that provide direct programs, services, or activities that enhance the quality of life for Vernon area residents in the areas of sports and recreation.

In the past four years this Funtastic Community Grant program has provided $100,000 to support sport and recreation initiatives for a wide variety of local organizations. The Funtastic Sports Society believes that everyone should have opportunities to enjoy active living and participating in sport and recreation activities.

Applications for the 2013 funding must be received by February 15, 2013 grant recipients will be announced in March.
