Vernon man caught in gun ring

BC's anti-gang agency will release information Thursday morning on a police sting that has busted an alleged long-term gun smuggling ring.

The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit is set to announce information regarding the investigation that lead to the arrest of a man from the Vernon area.

Const. Lindsey Houghton said a significant amount of illegal firearms and ammunition has been seized.

No other information is being released until the press conference at 10:30 a.m. in New Westminster.
