The police were checking into Haymour Castle in Peachland Thursday and they checked out with marijuana -- lots of it.
The former hotel, which has been closed for several years, was loaded with over 600 marijuana plants. RCMP say it was a "very sophisticated operation" which included a hydro-bypass.
The tenant living in the building was taken away by police and is due in court at a later date.
Neighbours say they suspected drug activity was going on in the building.
The owners say they had no idea someone was growing dope in the castle.
