It just wasn't his day.
A 47-year-old Vernon man faces a laundry list of charges after he was pulled over while riding a small motorcycle in cold, snowy conditions Monday.
According to police, an officer saw the rider travelling northbound on Pleasant Valley Road near Silver Star Road about 1 p.m. At the time it was minus 11 and snowing and the roads were snow covered.
RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk, says the officer noticed there was no plate on the bike, turned around and pulled the bike over in a nearby parking lot.
"The operator of the bike produced a BC Driver's Licence and advised the officer he did not believe the bike had to be registered or insured because it had a 49cc engine," says Molendyk.
In fact, Molendyk says, the bike did require licencing. Electric bikes of that size do not.
"To add to the driver's problems, his licence was found to have been cancelled in 2009."
Further, Molendyk says the officer detected alcohol on the man's breath and took a breath sample that registered a fail.
On top of all those charges, the man was also found to be in possession of marijuana.
