Students attending OUC campuses through the Okanagan and Shuswap will be able to sleep in today because of picketing by the British Columbia Government and Service Employees Union.
Other unions at the six campuses will be honouring those picket lines and day and evening classes will not take place.
The BCGEU is taking the action to push for wage demands for about 3,000 support staff at the half dozen campuses including two in Kelowna.
Classes and services are expected to resume on Feb. 1 on their normal schedule.
