Vernon Murder Update

A woman was still clinging to life when she was found leaning against the wall at Vernon Senior Secondary.

A man discovered the woman while walking his dog Friday morning.

A neighbour say the man who discovered the woman knocked on his door and told him to call 9-1-1.

The woman was dead when the man returned.

RCMP say the victim is an "older" woman but her name has not been released.

A large pool of blood surrounded the body. There was also a pool of blood in the school parking lot where police recovered some items and put them into plastic bags.

Police say they don't have any suspects at this time but are following up on a number of leads.
