The nose always knows.

Vernon RCMP were called to Toro's Pub Sunday morning at 3 a.m. after a report of an attempted break and enter.

Officers went to the scene, and with the help of the police service dog, were able to sniff out the suspect, a 17-year-old male, who was hiding under a wooden ramp near the building.

The young man, who is known to police for similar offences, was taken into custody and has been remanded until Monday.
