Vernon police have a man in custody after a botched break and entry attempt Wednesday morning.
RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk, says the suspect broke into a home in the 5200 block of 27th Avenue, was confronted by a resident and left without incident.
"With the description of the suspect supplied to the attending officers by the victim, police were able to locate the suspect several blocks away," says Molendyk.
"When the suspect was arrested he was on a bike that had been reported stolen on an unrelated file."
Molendyk says the 22-year-old Vernon resident faces charges of possession of stolen property, break and enter and obstruction.
