Vernon Search and Rescue are back in Okanagan Lake for a second day looking for what could be a drowning victim.
Police were initially called to the 8100 block of Okanagan Landing Road about 6:30 Thursday evening after someone believed they saw a person slide off a floating device into the lake.
"The witness felt that they saw a person on the floating device and then it capsized in the waves, and the person was gone," says RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk.
"Residents in the area went out with a boat, however, nobody was found in the water and a thin floating device was recovered."
Molendyk says police have canvassed the neighbourhood and nobody else saw or heard anything.
"As of this morning (Friday), police have not received any reports of missing or overdue people that were out on the water."
Search and Rescue conducted an extensive search Thursday. They were unable to turn up anything.
