Winfield Axe Attack

RCMP were forced to draw their weapons while arresting a man armed with an axe on Beaver Lake Rd. in Winfield.

They were called to the residence Thursday night to investigate complaints about a man attacking a house with an axe.

The man had smashed three windows with the axe and was trying to get through the front door with the weapon when police arrived.

The home the man was attacking is known to police.
