Hit and run suspect named

Police have released the name of the man charged in connection with the death of a Vernon senior.

Keith Milwyn Duggan, 48 of no fixed address, has been charged with criminal negligence causing death and failure to remain at the scene of an accident for the hit and run which killed 83-year-old Cormie MacArthur last month.

MacArthur was killed March 11 after being hit by a truck as he was walking on 27th Avenue near Okanagan Landing.

Duggan appeared in court Monday and has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance Tuesday.
