Vernon search warrant leads to drugs

A search warrant in Vernon has turned up some drugs.

RCMP executed the warrant at a home in the 3200 block of 31st Avenue on Saturday.

Constable Cathy Scott says two people were located inside the residence and arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

“RCMP seized 9.2 grams of crack cocaine and 26.6 grams of marihuana. Police also seized drug paraphernalia,” says Scott.

She says both occupants have been released.

“A 30-year-old woman faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and will appear in court at a later date.”
