Four grow ops have been busted in the North Okanagan.
On September 6, RCMP from Enderby, Lumby and Armstrong dismantled three marihuana grow ops discovered in the rural Noisy Creek Forestry area, just west of Mabel Lake.
Gord Molendyk of the Vernon and North Okanagan RCMP says nearly 1,000 plants have been seized from three separate grow ops.
“A fourth grow op was discovered in the Pratt Lake Forestry Road area south of Monte Lake on September 8. Close to 400 near-mature plants were seized from that grow op,” says Molendyk.
He says the South East District Air Service helicopter from Kelowna was instrumental in this investigation.
“Outdoor marihuana cultivation continues to be prominent at this time of year throughout the North Okanagan. Local RCMP will be stepping up their efforts over the next couple weeks to locate and remove these operations.”
No suspects have been identified.
