Vernon Woman Missing

Have you seen Kate?

A 68 year old woman has wandered away from her group home in Vernon, and the RCMP are looking for her.

Kate Ross was last seen late Thursday evening at her home on 20th Street. She has some dementia, has suffered a stroke, is epileptic, and is described as somewhat non-verbal.

Police say Ross may have left the home via taxi and had earlier expressed a desire to go to Kamloops. RCMP Corporal Henry Proce says they are following up on both those leads.

Kate Ross is Caucasian, 5' 4” tall, 100 lbs, with grey hair and blue eyes. There is no description available as to the clothes Ross may be wearing, but Cpl Henry Proce says she is probably wearing glasses.
