Vernon police are looking for a male driver who fled the scene after hitting a woman at a crosswalk on 27th Street.
Police say the woman was crossing on the walk signal when a red pick up, possibly with a canopy, struck her.
The woman says she saw the truck as it began to turn out of Canadian Tire. The woman banged on the hood of the truck to get the drivers attention but the truck continued, knocking her to the ground.
The woman suffered only minor injuries and was able to walk away from the scene. RCMP are still searching for the driver.
The accident occurred around 3:45 pm Monday.
The driver is described as in his 20's with blonde hair.
