Crash Victim Identified

Kelowna RCMP are looking for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle accident.

A young Kelowna man died after losing control of his 1990 Nissan at around 3 o'clock Sunday morning.

The car was found at the bottom of an embankment off Highway 33 near Garner Road in the Black Mountain area.

Police say the lone occupant was not buckled-in and was thrown from the vehicle. They suspect speed and alcohol were contributing factors.

The victim has been identified as Lyle Day of Kelowna.

He was 25.
