His name is Bernd Tilse and the Vernon senior dropped off the radar three months ago.
Vernon RCMP say Tilse, 65, was reported missing by his sister in Germany about a week ago.
"She had not heard from him for the past three months," says Corporal Henry Proce.
Tilse resides on Bolduc Road in Vernon.
"He has resided there for the past 20 years and always paid his rent on time. He is now three months overdue. Tilse is a Canadian citizen and did not have an active passport," says Proce.
He says police have been unable to contact any close friends or family in the area.
"Although he lived in Vernon, he commuted to work in Banff, Alta. Police have learned he last accessed his bank accounts there one month ago. He lost his job some two months ago and apparently has not been seen since that time."
Police are requesting that anyone having any information whatsoever concerning the current whereabouts of Tilse call the Vernon Detachment at 250-545-7171 or any RCMP Detachment immediately.
