Car Takes A Plunge

Westside fire crews and ambulance were called out early this morning, after reports of a car going into the lake.

"We were dispatched this morning at around 5 o'clock to a vehicle in Okanagan Lake," says Westside Fire Captain Bateman. "When we arrived, we found a single vehicle in the lake with one occupant."

Bateman says the patient was a bit unresponsive and had to pull her out of the vehicle.

The car went into the lake off Gellatly Road but was not submerged.
