Vernon Intersection Stops

Vernon RCMP nabbed dozens of drivers during a recent intersection enforcement campaign.

The enforcement campaign came on the heels of a two-day project in which Community Policing volunteers recorded a large number of violations on 32nd Street in downtown Vernon.

RCMP issued the following:

• Thirty-one intersection violation charges
  
• Nine intersection violation warnings
  
• Two seatbelt violations
  
• One commercial vehicle violation
  
• Five various motor vehicle charges
  
• One 24-hour roadside suspension for driving under the influence of drugs
  
• One drug seizure

Vernon RCMP advise the public that enforcement campaigns will be held on an on-going basis at various intersections throughout the coming months.
