Blue Bag Makeover

Soon it will be 2007, and with that a fresh start, and a fresh new recycling calendar.

The 2007 Blue Bag recycling calendar has undergone a major makeover. With the help of several community partners, the calendar now contains even more useful information to help families live a more sustainable lifestyle.

The new calendar is pumped full of helpful tips and “did you knows”. Each month has a different theme presented in an informative and colourful way, which means you’ll love to put it up in your home and be proud to display your commitment to our planet. Important phone numbers are also included, hopefully making the mountain of questions holding you back from cleaning up easier to answer!

“We are very excited the calendar has been a community effort this year,” states Nicole Marzinzik, Waste Reduction Coordinator. “To work with different partners to move our message beyond recycling to include other environmental subjects has made our new calendar much more relevant for North Okanagan residents, not to mention better to look at!”

Watch your mail between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day for your new 2007 recycling calendar and look out for 12 months of new ways to stay on top of recycling in the North Okanagan. If you do not receive your calendar, you can also find it on the Regional District website at or call 550-3700.
