RCMP have identified the tow truck driver killed Wednesday afternoon on Highway 97 south of Vernon.
Ernest Edward Semkiw, 60, of Vernon was killed when he was hit by a northbound cube van.
Semkiw was attending to a disabled vehicle when the accident took place.
The tow truck's amber warning lights were on at the time.
RCMP have interviewed both the driver of the van and her female passenger.
Charges have not been laid against the driver.
This is the 16th traffic fatality in the North Okanagan so far this year.
The investigation continues.
