Vernon RCMP have shut down a well known crack house.
The home is located in the 2500 block of 37th Avenue and neighbours have been complaining about drug activity.
On Sunday, police raided the place where more than a dozen people were doing crack-cocaine. Five in the home have been arrested and are facing drug trafficking charges.
The residence has since been deemed inhabitable until it is brought up to standards at the expense of the landlord. According to Vernon officials, this is the 10th drug house within city limits that has been shut down under a new by-law aimed at cracking down on drug houses.
