Vernon Police Chase

Charges are pending against a Vernon man who nearly ran over a baby and caused a police pursuit.
The 21-year-old man nearly struck a 10-month-old child being pushed in a stroller near Sandy Beach Trailer Park Tuesday.
Police were called and spotted the suspect near the intersection of Okanagan Landing and Lakeshore Roads.
Police gave chase but called it off because of excessive speeds. The suspect was spotted moments later and arrested while hiding in some bushes.
The man is facing several charges including Dangerous Driving, Cause Police Pursuit, Possession of Stolen Property, No Driver's License and No insurance. In addition, he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
