Remember Canadian soldiers killed in combat at Kal Tire Place in Vernon on Sunday.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25, in partnership with the City of Vernon, will host a Remembrance Day ceremony on Nov. 11.
In addition to paying respect to the brave men and women who have given their lives on behalf of Canada in combat and due to combat-related injuries, this year’s observance marks 100 years since the signing of the armistice at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11, 1918, which ended World War I.
The program at Kal Tire Place is as follows:
- 9:30 a.m. - Doors open
- 9:50 a.m. - Musical interlude
- 10:20 a.m. - Sentries fall in
- 10:25 a.m. - Parade of veterans
- 10:35 a.m. - Service begins
