Nearly three dozen vehicles were ticketed for various offences during an overnight Commercial vehicle inspection in the North Okanagan.
RCMP set up the inspection on Highway 97, north of the Vernon weigh scales, between midnight and 7 am Monday morning.
Nearly 20 commercial vehicle drivers were ticketed for numerous infractions, including log book violations, avoiding weigh scales, over height loads, and improper training for hazardous goods.
A number of non-commercial vehicles were cited as well.
A total of four vehicles were impounded while seven were towed away. Two drivers were nabbed for driving while prohibited.
