Murder case bumped down

A man facing first-degree murder charges will have to wait a little longer for his day in court.

Paramjit Singh Bogarh will be back in a Vernon court room Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. for arraignment.

Paramjit and his brother, Narinder Singh Bogarh, are co-accused in the murder of Saminder Kaur Bogarh.

Paramjit was married to Saminder at the time of the murder. Both men were originally charged with second-degree murder, however, the charges were eventually dropped.

Shortly after Saminder's murder, both men left Canada.

Narinder is currently in India as authorities pursue extradition to Canada to face the charges.

Paramjit was extradited to Canada from the United States to face charges of first-degree murder as well as conspiracy to commit murder.

Paramjit has spent the past 21 years in California. He has remarried and has an adult son.
