Halloween Party Stabbing

One man is in hospital and another faces assault charges following a stabbing at a Halloween party early Sunday morning in Vernon.

RCMP say an 18 year old man suffered stab wounds to his arm and abdomen during the incident.

He remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A second man, also 18, was arrested at the scene. He faces charges of assault with a weapon. The suspect was released Sunday morning.

Both men are claiming self-defence.
