Vernon street dealers busted

The Vernon RCMP have arrested three "street-level drug dealers" from Vernon suspected of peddling heroin and fentanyl.

RCMP made the arrests on three separate days in July.

On July 11, a 35-year-old Vernon man was arrested on a warrant for three counts of drug trafficking.

When police made the arrest they found the man was in possession of a number of small bags of what police suspected was a heroin/fentanyl mix and crack cocaine. He now faces two additional charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

On July 13, 2018 a 34-year-old Vernon man was arrested on two warrants: one for one count of drug trafficking in May, 2018 and one for two counts of drug trafficking in June, 2018.

On July 17, 2018 a 38-year-old Vernon man was arrested on a warrant for one count of drug trafficking in April, 2018.

All three men remain in custody.

"These three arrests are a great example of the Vernon RCMP’s commitment to target drug trafficking at all levels," stated Cpl. Dan Pollock of Vernon's Targeted Policing Unit. "By targeting street-level drug dealers, and removing the illicit drugs they are selling from our community we are directly making Vernon safer.
