Plane Wreckage Found

Officials are at the scene of a plane crash on the Westside.

RCMP say the small plane was found by a helicopter this morning off Westside Road in the Vernon area.

The pilot is dead.

Police add that the circumstances appear to be suspicious.

"We don't know where he or she was coming from or where he was going," says Vernon Corporal Henry Proce.

The wreckage was found near Bouleau Lake -- about 10 km from Westside Road.
