The Okanagan Science Centre in Vernon is hosting educational events throughout the summer.
On Monday kids and their parents learned about the cycle of life for a butterfly.
"First it starts off as the egg or larva," said Sarah Noble, program assistant. "Once that egg hatches it becomes a caterpillar and then it goes into its cocoon. Then finally it becomes a butterfly."
The family friends events are open to people of all ages.
Check out the Okanagan Science Centre website for a list of educational events.
