Funds for pickleball courts

The City of Vernon has agreed to lend the Vernon Pickleball Association up to $145,000 to finish the dedicated pickleball courts at Marshall Fields. 

The loan is incumbent on the approval vote by the majority of the Vernon Pickleball Association members. 

The loan would allow for a synthetic coat to be put on the court, which would allow members to play all year round. 

If agreed upon, the "financial assistance" would be paid back through at 10-year lease.

The funds would be sourced from the City's 2017 Prior Year Unexpected Uncommitted Balance.
