Lumby survey on cannabis

The Village of Lumby is seeking feedback for the retail sale of cannabis in its community.

A survey of about seven questions and a feedback section is available online.

Questions range from whether or not residents would even support retail cannabis sales in Lumby, to, if they did, how would they like to see them zoned and where they would be allowed to operate.  

The survey will be used for informational purposes, and will not be binding.  

Cannabis is on its way towards legalization in Canada. 

Both the federal government and the provincial government have released guidelines around the use and licencing of cannabis. 

Local municipalities are preparing for legalization, and can ultimately say 'no' to dispensaries if they choose.
