Learn to save a life

Learn to save a life at Vernon's annual CPR training.

For 24 years, in conjunction with Vernon Fire and Rescue Services, Silver Star Rotary has been providing a basic introduction to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training, called Project Save-A-Life.

The free training includes an introductory presentation, CPR practise with manikins and an explanation of the use of heart defibrillators.

For 2018, naloxone kits, for treating opioid overdoses, will also be introduced.

Project Save-A-Life Training is open to all.

Families or workplace groups are encouraged to train together.

All participants are asked to register in advance at Walmart on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on March 3.

Project Save-A-Life takes place Saturday, March 10 at Fulton Secondary School at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

You can also register by phone, at 1-855-248-5828 or online.

Participants are asked for a modest donation to help offset costs.
