A busy day at Carnival

Vernon’s 58th Winter Carnival is almost wrapping but not before a fun-filled weekend of events. 

There are tons of events to choose from today. 

The 2018 Jess4Kids Tips Up Cup and Team Challenge at Sovereign Lake takes place today. 

There are two events taking place on the first day with the introduction of the Team Relay Challenge, a skiing and snowshoeing challenge for beginners.

This event raises funds for the Jess4Kids Ski Scholarship Fund. 

The Speed Skating FUNALE takes place throughout the day today.

This year Vernon Speed Skating Club is hosting this year's event at Kal Tire Place. 

The Queen of Hearts Croquet event will transform the public library into a Queen of Hearts croquet maze starting at 10 a.m. 

The Mystic A-Fair Psychic Fair and More promises to be fun taking place at the Schubert Centre from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hang out at Polson Park for a Family day between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and enjoy games, face painting, broomball and visits with Carnival Cops, Royalty, Jopo and Jopettes. 

Gather around a bonfire with Tim Horton's hot chocolate.

Head over to the Science Centre between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. for the Alice in Wonderland Scavenger Hunt. 

Join in on the Cosplay Contest & Photo Shoot at the Okanagan Regional Library. 

CPF Vernon's Skate with Bonhomme De Neige at Kal Tire Place takes place today.

Grab your skates and join in on a French adventure, bring a donation for the local food bank. 

Halina Wonderland Characters Dinner Dance is a fun-filled occasion for those who are 50 and over. 

A homemade meal will be served and prizes will be awarded for costumes. 

Join in on an evening of food, antics and dancing to Route 66. 

The 9th Annual Winter Carnival Blues Festival takes place today. 

The adult only event features an evening of live blues from some of the very best that B.C. has to offer.
