Final Carnival weekend

Chantelle Deacon

It’s day number eight of Vernon’s 58th annual Winter Carnival and there are many events taking place to kick off your weekend.

The hot air balloons should be gracing the Vernon skies all throughout the day, weather depending. If you want to see the balloons up close and personal, tonight is your chance from 5 to 7 p.m. at Polson Park.

The Adventures in MarketLand Farmers' Market takes place today at Kal Tire Place from 12 to 4 p.m., where attendees can win prizes, eat cakes and shop at all the local vendors.

Black Prince Cabin Dinners is hosting a unique dinner at Sovereign Lake, complete with white tablecloths, candlelight dining and clinking glasses set in a backcountry landscape just 3.5 kilometres from the day lodge.

This event takes place from 4:30 to 9 p.m.

Tickets are still available for the St. James Family Fling. Dance the night away to the music of Boogie Nights DJ Service and make memories to last a lifetime.

This family event is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St. James School.

The Rockland/Wonderland adult only dance takes place tonight as well.

The night will blend a trip to the most danceable Rock n' Roll in town with Lewis Carroll's unforgettable characters and imagery.

Dance the night away to the best in classic rock with Vernon's own MACE. The event starts at 8:30 p.m.

If you’re more interested watching a hockey game, head to Kal Tire place and cheer on the Vernon Vipers as they take on the Langley Rivermen.

Don't forget to check out Castanet.net, Vernon's Homepage, everyday during Carnival to find Chantelle in Wonderland telling you all the latest events.
