A Castanet reader called in with a description of the accident on Highway 97 heading towards Vernon near Bailey Road.
"It looks like a two-car collision which knocked over one of the poles, which has crossed the northbound lanes."
There have been no reports of injuries.
UPDATE: 8:44 a.m.
Traffic along Highway 97 will be backed up this morning.
A Castanet reader has reported that a vehicle has slid off the road and crashed into a "light pole" near Bailey Road.
The pole was down across the road, but has been moved out of the way.
The highway contractor has been called.
Emergency crews have attended.
Castanet will provide more details as they become available.

A two vehicle crash has knocked down a telephone pole along Highway 97 near Bailey Road heading towards Vernon.
The pole has crossed the northbound lane putting traffic at a standstill.
