Ground still smoulders

Area's of forest are still smouldering almost four months after the worst wildfire season to date, across B.C. 

The snow has been coming down across the B.C. Interior since November, but that hasn't put out all the burning roots. 

"There is still lots of fires that will be hotspots like that," said Kent Gerow, Cariboo Wildfire 2017/2018 Information & Safety Facebook page, administrator. "People are noticing and that was the first video that I found." 

"That hotspot was quite a good size." 

Gerow says that because of a low snowpack he anticipates another terrible wildfire season.
