Metal fans will have a chance to select one of the acts in the 2018 Armstrong Metal Fest.
The People's Choice Award, via Broken Neck Radio, gives metal heads the opportunity to vote in their favourite group to perform at the event that runs July 13-14.
The contest runs from Feb. 10-24, with the winner of the online voting being announced on Feb. 26.
Bands interested in applying at Metal Fest can submit to [email protected] until Feb. 9.
This year's event marks the 10th anniversary of the concert series.
Taking influence from Europe’s music festival circuit, Armstrong MetalFest is a heavy metal celebration that encourages metal heads from across Canada and the globe to mosh and camp with the backdrop of great outdoors of the North Okanagan.
What started as a backyard party in 2009 with nothing but 11 metal bands, has grown into concert series with more than 30 bands.
Previous years of the festival have seen line ups with Cattle Decapitation, Suffocation, Beyond Creation, Dayglo Abortions, Rivers of Nihil, The Zenith Passage, Anciients, Bison BC, Striker, Crimson Shadows, Holy Grail, Archspire, Cryptopsy, Unleash The Archers, Divinity, Into Eternity, Ninjaspy, Vesperia, XUL, Odinfist, Death Toll Rising, Gomorrah among many others
