Disgraced former Vernon Mayor Sean Harvey has pleaded guilty in BC Supreme Court to breach of trust.
Harvey resigned as mayor in July of 2005 after CHBC revealed he falsified some of his expenses for lavish meals and trips in the amount of about $14,000.
In court Monday, Harvey admitted to misusing his city issued credit card on 90 occasions between 2003 and 2005. Aside from the breach of trust charge, Harvey was also accused of fraud over $5,000. That charge was stayed.
On the day he resigned, Harvey said any funds that he may have fraudulently obtained will be reimbursed to the taxpayers of Vernon.
To date, he has repaid more than $5,000.
Crown is asking that Harvey be sentenced to 18 months of house arrest plus community service.
He will be sentenced in September.
