Crash case resumes in 2018

The court case against a Lumby man, charged in a double-fatal vehicle crash in Saskatchewan last year, won't resume until next February.

Kiel Stewart, born in 1987, returns to provincial court in Saskatoon for continuation of a hearing on Feb. 7, 2018.

Stewart is charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.

The single-vehicle rollover took place on Highway 2, north of Young, Sask. on Oct. 15, 2016.

Stewart himself suffered a broken neck and a shattered jaw, according to a GoFundMe page.
